CONVENTIONAL PALLETISER
Application:
Used typically where only one line requires automatic palletisation of cases, crates, kegs & shrinkwrap packs.
Automatic palletisation is achieved using our P.C.A. model L.P. and H.P. range
L.P.:- Low level product infeed.

Operation: Product is transported to the belt control conveyor and into roller conveyor where product is turned prior to palletisation
Palletisation is achieved through a system of stoppers and pushers on a roller curtain which opens once the layer has been formed

ROBOT PALLETISER
Application:
Used typically when more than one line of product requires to be automatically sorted and palletised.
Automatic palletisation is achieved using a Kuka KR180 base robot. All product grippers and software are specifically designed to suit the product and pallet formats & various functions
Operation: Products can be transferred from one or more lines, sorted into lanes and automatically palletised into 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 pallets. Higher numbers of pallets can be palletised using an overhead gantry or floor railed robot.
Palletisation is achieved using a combination of vacuum and mechanical grippers which lift the product from a conveyor direct onto the correct location on the pallet
Construction:- Kuka robots are manufactured from cast aluminium and carbon fibre to reduce weight

ROBOT PACKER
Application:
Where top loading by pick & place can be used and where products may change regularly then robots give added flexibility to adapt to change.
Automatic pick & place packing of product (bottles, cans, jars and cartons) into pre-erected cases using a Kuka KR15 base robot
Operation: Products (Bottles, cans, jars or cartons) are transferred by conveyor to a lane divider which is pre-programmed according to the internal packing format of the product. Lanes of product are accumulated and then sub-divided and in some cases stacked into batches Blank cases are then wrapped around the product and glued at both ends
Benefits: The advantage of using a robot over conventional pick and place packing is when the packing action required more than 2 axis, of operation. e.g Where the product is orientated during packing to enable efficient box filling
Construction:- Kuka robots are manufactured from cast aluminium to reduce weight

PICK AND PLACE PACKER
Application: Used typically where cases have been pre-erected and top loading and division inserting is required.
Automatic wrap-around packing of product into cases is achieved using a P.C.A. model WP 100 series packing machine

Operation: Products (Bottles, cans, jars or cartons) are transferred by conveyor to a lane divider which is pre-programmed according to the internal packing format of the product. Lanes of product are accumulated and then sub-divided and in some cases stacked into batches Blank cases are then wrapped around the product and glued at both ends Pre-erected cases are then conveyed through the machine with the flaps pulled open. With a system of vacuum grippers, products are lifted and driven to a position above the empty cases. Product is then lowered into the empty cases.

CASE ERECTOR
Application: Automatically erects cases and applies hot melt glue on bottom flaps.
Automatic erection of gluing of blank cases is achieved using a P.C.A. model CS300 series case erecting machine
Operation: Blank cases are loaded into a magazine
Case Erector CE-2 For the erecting of cartons and sealing of the base with hot glue.
Operation: The American cases are placed in the magazine. They are removed by suction cups and folded open. The indexing chain puts the opened case into the pressing station, where the flaps are folded and glue is applied. After the flaps have been pressed the case is conveyed out of the machine.

Case Erector CE-1 For the erecting of cartons and sealing of the base with tape.
Operation: The American cases are placed in the magazine. They are removed by suction cups and folded open. After the flaps on the base of the case have been folded inwards a pneumatic pusher moves the case to the taping station where the tape is applied. Twin belts then conveyor the base-sealed case out of the machine.

PALLET STRETCHWRAPPER
Application: Semi and fully automatic application of polyethylene stretch film to fully loaded pallets to increase pallet build stability and reduce damage to the palletised products.
Automatic erection of gluing of blank cases is achieved using a P.C.A. model CS300 series case erecting machine

Operation: Blank cases are loaded into a magazine

Automatic pallet stretchwrapping is achieved using either:
1. A rotating conveyor with the pallet rotating and the film carriage moving vertically. (Up to 30 pallet/hour)
2. A rotating arm where the pallet is stationary but an arm is rotated whilst the film carriage moves vertically. (Up to 60 pallet/hour)
3. A rotating ring where the pallet is stationary but a high speed rotating film carriage is moved vertically enabling stretchwrapping applications of up to 120 pallets/hour.

BENEFITS: These include

  • Cost savings on film of up to 50% by utilising automatic stretchwrapping with powered pre-stretch equipment.
  • Better wrapped product resulting in more stable loads.
  • Faster throughput than manual or semi-automatic methods.
  • Labour Savings.

OPERATION:Full pallet loads are transferred automatically by pallet conveyor through an automatic pallet stretchwrapper, consistently wrapped according to a program agreed by the customer. Once the wrapping program is complete the pallet is automatically conveyed into an accumulation conveyor, awaiting a forklift to unload.

SHRINKWRAP MACHINE
Application:
Semi and fully automatic application of polyethylene shrink film to single bottles, trays of bottles, cans, jars and complete pallets.

Automatic In line for 6 bottle pack

The latest range of shrinkwrappers utilises pick and place technology, eliminating the need for transfer pushers, flight bars, lug conveyors and dead plates.
BENEFITS:This makes them ideally suited for unstable products such as round or oval bottles, aerosols etc.

PALLET DOUBLER
Application: PDP For the automatic placing of pallets on top of each other.
Operation: The loaded pallet is conveyed into the machine on pallet conveyor and raised by a pneumatic lift. The lift is powered by a central drive connected to 4x1" chains, and raises the pallet to a height such that the next pallet can be conveyed under it. After the second pallet is in place the upper pallet is set down on top of it.
